How should we move around the city in the next 10 years? This hybrid workshop explores ideas for sustainable, inclusive mobility — from public transport improvements to safer bike networks and car-free zones. Participants can join online or in person, contributing equally through a shared digital workspace and live facilitators on both ends.

Let’s build a transport system that moves us all forward.

Additional services:

  • Synchronized digital whiteboard accessible to all participants

  • Simultaneous translation (English–Spanish) both online and onsite

  • Reserved seating and tech support for people with disabilities

  • Eco-friendly participant welcome kit for in-person attendees

  • Summary document and video recording shared post-event

Zápis z porady

The Future Mobility Lab brought together over 60 participants, including residents, urban planners, mobility researchers, and accessibility advocates, both onsite and online. After a brief introduction to current urban mobility challenges, participants were divided into mixed-format working groups to brainstorm and prioritize ideas for improving sustainable transport in the city. Online contributors engaged through a shared digital whiteboard, while in-person attendees used printed maps and post-its to visualize their input.

Several promising proposals emerged during the session. Among them was the “Green Corridors for Bikes and Pedestrians”, which suggests connecting major areas of the city through landscaped, car-free routes. Another well-received idea was “Safe School Zones”, advocating reduced speed limits and improved signage near educational facilities. The proposal to “Expand and Electrify the Bus Fleet” sparked a lively debate, with attendees agreeing on the need for low-emission solutions but emphasizing the importance of network reliability and affordability. Accessibility was a cross-cutting theme in nearly all group discussions.

Participants expressed strong support for co-creation in mobility planning and requested continued updates and opportunities to contribute. The facilitation team committed to publishing a synthesis of the workshop’s proposals and integrating them into the next participatory budgeting phase. The session closed with a shared commitment to making urban transport more inclusive, sustainable, and community-led.
