Waste-to-Energy Pilot Project

This proposal suggests launching a small-scale waste-to-energy pilot project that would convert organic waste into biogas, providing a renewable energy source for Sedep’s public buildings. By processing organic waste through anaerobic digestion, this initiative would reduce the city’s waste burden while producing biogas that can be used to generate electricity or heat for schools, hospitals, and other community facilities. The project would include the construction of a waste-to-energy facility, as well as training for local workers to operate and maintain the plant. The long-term goal is to create a sustainable energy source while reducing the city’s dependence on external energy providers.
