Build modular, affordable housing for young adults

Accepted

Avatar: Helen Jones Helen Jones

Young adults often struggle to find affordable places to live in the city. This proposal advocates for the construction of modular, cost-efficient housing units aimed at students and workers under 30, located near public transport hubs.

These housing complexes could offer shared services such as laundries, bike storage, and common areas to reduce costs and build community. A public lottery or application process would ensure transparency and equity in access.

Also: We should pair this with job placement support or community service incentives. Housing alone doesn’t solve the full picture.
